The benefits from decades of working on stage and screen can now be yours. Not abstract theory or textbook descriptions, but concrete working knowledge of how technique and training is applied in real world environments. From starting as an actor in Off Broadway productions to dozens of Major Television roles and co-starring in Blockbuster films, I will share all my insight and help you on your journey to improve as an artist.
Whether you're seeking a career as an actor or just want to feel comfortable when addressing a crowd, one thing never changes. You need skills that will help you to connect with your audience. During our time together you will be given the tools and techniques that will assist you in clearly conveying emotion and ideas in any public setting. From learning the basics to rehearsal to production, together we will work on steps that take you from amateur to professional.
True foundational learning is best when conducted in a "REAL WORLD" setting. That will be our focus.
Terms like blocking, off book, eyeline, running lines, hitting beats, hitting marks, keeping continuity and playing the opposite sounds like a strange new language. Daunting huh? Now imagine dealing with all that in front of a hungry crew with cameras pointed at you, and everyone wants to go to lunch. That's when the skills you learn from me kick in. From our first session we will work for complete professionalism. This will help you demystify the process and acquire the confidence to maneuver through any situation presented to you on set or stage.

So, how will this work? How do we get you on your creative journey? Simple. We go to work on both stage and in front of cameras. The program will work on a two prong attack.
ACTING FOR THE STAGE, builds basic skills and techniques that one can implement from Broadway to the boardroom. Using exercises, theatre games and drills that connect mind, body and voice, you will have a solid foundation to move on to the second portion of the program.
ACTING FOR THE CAMERA, uses and fine tunes the skills acquired from the stage program and introduces lights and a camera crew. Scenes are prepared, shot and edited so you can address issues, make adjustments and see progress in your performance.
By addressing both skills in tandem you will be able to put newly acquired knowledge into practice and see immediate improvement in performances.
Classes will be conducted on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm. The course runs for 3 months beginning January 6th and concluding with an Actor's showcase on March 30th and a Student's film festival on March 31st.
